Due for release on 24 May 2024, upcoming Australian post-apocalyptic action adventure film Furiosa serves as both a spin-off and a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). It will be the fifth film in the Mad Max franchise and is said to be focusing on the origins of Furiosa.

In the film, As the world falls, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

 

5. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) 

The fourth installment in the Mad Max franchise, Mad Max Fury Road is a “revisiting” of the Mad Max franchise. From filmmaker George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary Mad Max trilogy, comes this return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky. Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone.
