U2 Albums in Order:<\/strong> Having sold an estimated 150\u2013170 million records worldwide, with 52 million certified units by the RIAA, U2<\/strong> rank as the 22nd-highest-selling music artist in the US. It have released 14 studio albums, one live album, three compilation albums, 67 singles, and nine extended plays (EPs). <\/span><\/p>\n

Formed at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in 1976 as teenagers, consists of Bono (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), the Edge (lead guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion), U2 often embellished with spiritual imagery, focus on personal and sociopolitical themes. In 1979, the group issued their first release, the EP U2-3, which sold well in Ireland. The following year, the group signed to Island Records and released their debut album “Boy”, and continuing through their commercial peak, 1987’s multi-platinum “The Joshua Tree”. Throughout their career, as a band and as individuals, they have campaigned for human rights and social justice causes, including Amnesty International, Jubilee 2000, the ONE\/DATA campaigns, Product Red, War Child, and Music Rising.
